School.

So school has started, Europe has put a toll on me. It's gonna take a while for me to wake up from all the fun I've had. Its time to work now and, to sit tight and sharpen all my creative and technical skills. I am pretty confident that i will be able to find a great design carrier by the end of next year.

And off I go into my beautufil summer vocation.

I am Going to Europe guys.
After two long years of hard work and many obstacles that came in way, something is going to give. I do not want to sound spoiled or anything, but vocation is something i really needed. I didn't really plan on going to Europe at all this year, I was actually planing to get part time job in my field in order to make my resume more prestigious. Something magical happened that I completely forgot about tax return, I filed for my taxes and got my tax return pretty quick this year (funny with this economy), and guess what since I was actually working most of 2008 my tax return was pretty nice. Two ideas came to me, it was either buying a new piece of -#^*^& car or a plane ticket to Germany; I chose going to Germany. If i got an old car it would just get me around same dull jersey places, and I wouldn't use it going into new york or Philadelphia so whats the point in owning a car. I live in Urban area anyways. Better of just spend all i have an enjoy my self without having to deal with broken axles and busted motors.
Design wise there is four weeks until this semester is over
. Some of my projects, are being held by professors and I will be getting them back soon, once I get them all back I shall post them on this blog for the whole world to see. Working real hard on them I have to be pretentions just a bit and proudly say that finally i am starting to feel real comfortable with my work. So yeah i am little bit off today guys since I just got out of gym and had this huge Chicken sandwich but next time, paragraphs will be structured properly.

Procrastinating .... Critical Thinking

Procrastination. Yes I am guilty of that sin.
It's very hard to be motivated about my professional life if my social life is sort of in little chaos right now. As we get older we find tend to figure out our self more and more. In this process we fall in and out of love and in and out of friendships we get very selective about things that we really want and truly desire.

Some people tend to tell me I am procrastinator do to lack of interest in my field. I don't think that this is true, my procrastination has to deal with the environment i live in really odd neighborhood. My town is commuter town less then five miles away from great city of new york, yet with that there is a consequence. Living in my town of Cliffside park is nothing but a solitary confinement. It is truly the terrible place to live I understand that some people enjoy living small town lifestyle, however Cliffside isn't even a small town!!! It is actually considered to be Urban area, I have never seen place with so many people with no motivation maybe its soil or maybe it the air. Whatever it is its driving me nuts and i spend most of my time away from my house in order to get my creative juices flowing. I am pretty upset that I didn't manage to submit my work towards trace exhibit i really wanted to but it just ended up extending until the end. Blah I really gotta move out if not soon than in a year period and never look back at this town . Jersey city is one of the considerations but i am almost done with school so moving into Jersey city could possibly only created new sets of problems .

Moving somewhere where I can step out side of my house and see social and creative faces is something i really need. I am possibly looking towards Brooklyn New York or Philadelphia. Problems with that are money issue and even tho Philly tends to be cheaper than Brooklyn their prices in rent are raising dramatically as well. So who knows where the wind takes me.I really enjoy life in United States and i really want to make something out of it( I am originally from Serbia for those who don't know.) My point is I moved here and moving back without any achivments would be embarrassing i got to make something out of this little roller coaster of Communication Arts that I am involved, in order to really go back to Europe one day and say yes my life wasn't a waste and I've done things that I can be remembered for.

Hemp Ale, Recreational Work

Here we have, some of my recreational Corporate Identity for Alcoholic Beverage.
I had a lot of fun doing this, it motivated me to do more art work the next day. I enjoy using Monochromatic color scheme however eventually I shall incorporate my work with Complimentary color mix as well. This company initially asked designers in past to redesign their packaging having in mind older adults age range of 25-30 that have a healthy life style so I came up with this.

This are sketches for the logo i came up with before hitting up a computer.

Out of all those this was my decision, I used my best judgment by picking something that has relaxing flow and that older adults can relate to.

And here we have final Vector logo.
I enjoyed making this especially working with textured lettering.

Here are sketches of Packaging stickers unfortunately i didn't pick any of them,
yet they did help me brain storm and achieve my final piece.

This is my design solution I came up with. This beverage is focused for serious focused and laid back individuals in their late twenties and mid thirties so i had that on my mind and added some really dry flavor to it.

And of course just to get a right feel it has to be presented with one tasty beverage.

Until next time people keep it busy: read, invent, go out ,
smile and enjoy life.

Feel Free to Comment and Critique.

FOG

Yes, I am in my design mode again, I got influenced from something I saw few days ago, so I composed this piece in order to see how far I can push and I must say my technical skills are not as rusty as they use to be.
So here ya go folks not for nothing but you must say that my composition skills are getting better from day to day.

Enjoy.

Happy Belated New Years and detail about the end of Myspace

Hello it's been a while since my last post. I must say i am free now. I got rid of all of unnecessary SO CALLED " FRIENDS" sites that been stealing my precious time and creativity away from me. I had few and they are all scrapped for my life. I feel like i was washed with a nice cold bucket of water and last night i bought a six pack to celebrate ending of these terrific distractions.

It started off years ago with friendster which was very primitive version of myspace noone cought on to it because of its terrible interface but when myspace came out that was like an explosion. Literally everyone was on it people stopped asking each other for numbers everyone was exchanging their myspaces adresses for while i tought I was part of this click, but then i came to realize; " Hmm If I am always on computer seeking to find people that I've just met last night what kind of social network am I buiding fictional or realistic"

People use to be way more social before myspace so I 've decided to scrap it out of my life. I think that there is conspiracy theory behind it. Its almost as if like government wants us to be on myspace
and dull our brains with it while we sit home get fat eating big bags of chips, and dont do anything productive.

Thats it for now, step out make something
of life and put stop to new era of distraction and mind manipulation networks.
